Question 4

What is included?

• Boat, dinghy and outboard motor
 • Anchoring at the marina: First and last night at the base
 • Fuel and water: All boats are delivered with a full tank of fuel (boat and dinghy), a full tank of water, one gas cylinder + one spare cylinder. You must return the boat with full fuel and water tanks.
 • Water sports: fins, masks and snorkels
 • Mandatory Extras : The preparation fee includes final cleaning and a small bottle of dish soap, a dishcloth, a sponge, trash bags, a roll of paper towels, a box of matches, and a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Please note that the contents vary depending on the destination.
 • Security Deposit & Excess Waiver: Excess waiver is optional (mandatory for rentals with a skipper) and reduces the amount of the security deposit. We highly recommend it (not available in Sweden).
 • Bed linen and towels – 1 set per berth and per boat. Extras can be requested at an additional cost.

What licenses do I need to rent a boat and sail it myself?

What kind of briefing do we receive at the base?

Before leaving the base, you will receive an overview of the cruising area, safety instructions, and a boat handover briefing from our base team, including:
 • All safety equipment
 • Cooking and refrigeration systems
 • Facilities and showers
 • Engine and registration procedures
 • VHF radio and safety call instructions
 • All instruments, including the GPS
 • Pilot maps and books
 • Halyards, winches, boom halyards, rigging and controls
 • Anchoring system
 • Annex and engine
 • Other systems

Question 7

Do I need insurance for my bareboat charter?

Accepted Answer

We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance in case you need to cancel for an unexpected reason, to cover non-refundable deposits. Make sure you have personal travel insurance that covers sailing.
We will insure the boat against all risks throughout the rental period with first-class insurers in order to authorize the rental in accordance with the contractual conditions and to cover civil liability.
The following options are available in certain destinations:
 • 1 Security Deposit: This varies depending on the size of the boat and when the boat is returned undamaged, this deposit (security deposit) is refunded.
 • 2. Excess Buyback: The renter agrees to pay a non-refundable excess at the time of booking, as well as a reduced security deposit at boarding, refundable at the end of the rental if no damage occurs.

Are children allowed on board a boat rental without a skipper, or is there an age limit?

There are no age restrictions and children are welcome.

What accommodation is provided for the skipper and crew?

Please note that if you add a professional skipper to your booking, a double cabin must be reserved for the skipper. If you also add a cook or host/hostess, they will usually be accommodated in a forward cabin, subject to availability. If your group requires additional double cabins, other boat configurations may be available. Please contact us for further details.

Yes: lightweight infusion construction, thin Catana hulls, reinforced stainless steel lifelines, passive and active safety for serene ocean cruising.
